To address the critical health and well-being needs of our South Snohomish County community and to prevent future poor health outcomes, Verdant hosts an annual funding cycle.
Investing in our community’s health through funding and community education programs is at the root of our work. Funding approximately $80 million in grants from 2011-2024, we strategically invest in programs that prevent and respond to the underlying causes of poor health.
All applications received are considered for funding, with review and decision ultimately made by our voter-elected Board of Commissioners.

In late 2021, Verdant launched the use of its Grant Portal, which utilizes a web-based system called Fluxx. Through this portal, we:
This tool allows Verdant to track the impact of its grants while also streamlining the process for our community partners.
Once approved for funding, awardees will be expected to submit reports through the Grants Portal. Awardees are required to submit a mid-year report and a final report following the award end date.

Verdant considers financial requests for community health and wellness events that meet our eligibility requirements. Please use this Event Support Request Form to have your event considered for
