Annual Health Program Funds

Verdant’s three key strategic priorities for 2023-2024 are:

  • Mental Health
  • Healthcare Access and Quality
  • Food Security

To learn more about these priorities, including examples of programs and services Verdant supports, we encourage applicants to read Verdant’s Strategic Plan 2023-2024 in deciding whether to submit a proposal.

The majority of our grant investments come through this competitive funding opportunity, with requests considered semi-annually. Approved grants are contracted for one-year, and partners must re-apply on an annual basis. Applications for this funding opportunity must meet our established criteria and be submitted using our Grant Portal.  Please refer to detailed funding guidance application instructions at Funding Guidelines.

Pre-Application Technical Assistance

To help support prospective applicants with clarifying questions and technical assistance with the application portal in preparation for the December 2nd submission deadline, the Verdant grants team hosted a recorded Q&A call on the three dates in November. Go to the Resources section below for frequently asked questions from those calls and email inquiriesThe recordings and slide decks from the Nov 1st, 8th, and 15th calls can also be found in the Resources Section.

COVID-19 Emergency Funding Requests

Now accepting COVID-19 funding requests.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created deep impacts to community health, social services, and more. We recognize that new needs continue to arise connected to the pandemic for our residents, and we accept funding requests to address these issues on a rolling basis. These grant requests are limited to short-term needs (up to 3 months), and organizations seeking long-term support should consider submitting a Multi-Year Health Program Grant Request.

For more information, email or call 425-582-8572.

In an effort to address capital and system improvements in our South Snohomish County community, we have established a Building Healthy Communities Fund.
