Annual Program Funds

Verdant’s three key strategic priorities are:

  • Food Security 

To learn more about these priorities, we encourage applicants to read Verdant’s Strategic Plan 2023-2024 in deciding whether to submit a proposal.

The board has decided to move to an annual application cycle.  We are developing the application timeline for the 2025 Funding Cycle and will be posting more details soon. 

Funding decisions for 2025 will be made at our November 20, 2024 board meeting for a contract term of January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025.

See a list of Verdant’s current grant portfolio at “Who We Fund” for examples of currently funded programs and services. The majority of our grant investments come through this competitive funding opportunity, with requests considered semi-annually. 

Approved grants are contracted for one-year. To be considered for funding, proposals are required to meet the established criteria in the funding guidelines and then submit a completed application using our Grant Portal.  Please refer to detailed funding guidelines and application instructions at Funding Guidelines.
