South County Walks

Verdant’s partnership with the Edmonds Waterfront Center, City of Edmonds, City of Lynnwood, and City of Mountlake Terrace returns in 2021 to coordinate community walks, led by volunteers, for individuals and families. There will be four walks each week for eight weeks throughout the summer, and walks begin on Monday, July 12 and run through Thursday, Sept. 2.

These walks are typically 2-3 miles and take about an hour to complete. South County Walks is family-friendly and open to anyone interested, of all abilities. Once you have completed the one-time registration form online, you can drop in and participate on any walk with no RSVP required. Participate from one or all four sites and you will be entered to win a prize. Read more details online.

Meet Me at the Park

Learn about resources that are available to you in your community during three Meet Me at the Park events this month. Join Verdant, the City of Lynnwood, Community Transit, and Medical Teams International for an evening at Wilcox Park where local non-profit agencies will provide information about their no-cost or low-cost services, resources, and programs for you and your family. There will also be fun, safe activities for kids, prizes, and giveaways.

Meet Me at the Park is happening three consecutive Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m., July 13, 20, and 27, at Wilcox Park, 5215 196th St. SW, in Lynnwood. There is no RSVP or registration required – join us if you can! Read more details online.
