Verdant Health Commission is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the residents of South Snohomish County. We work collaboratively and creatively with community-based organizations to meet the needs of our whole community.
In June 2025, Verdant Health Commission will open it’s annual funding cycle and will seek applications that serve the varied and diverse health needs of our residents.
We are excited to announce that our Board of Commissioners has officially adopted a new Strategic Plan for 2025 – 2028. This plan reflects our ongoing commitment to better serve our community by focusing on the most pressing needs and refining our approach to creating meaningful impact.
As part of this new strategic direction, we have updated our priority areas to ensure that our resources and efforts are aligned with the evolving needs of our community:

| Mental Health (Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults) | Programs that support the mental well-being of youth and young adults, including both clinical and non-clinical services. |
| Access to Direct Healthcare Services |
Projects that expand access to essential medical and dental care for underserved populations. |
| Food Security (by invitation only) | While no longer a central focus of open funding, Verdant will continue supporting food security initiatives through ongoing contracts with trusted partners. |

Our funding is awarded through our annual funding cycle. If approved for funding the contract term is for one year, January to December. Partners must re-apply for funding on an annual basis. Applications for this funding opportunity must meet our established criteria and be submitted using our Grant Portal. Please refer to our Funding Guidelines for more details on completing your application.

Organizations seeking sponsorship support from Verdant for a health event taking place in our South Snohomish County community can complete our request form, which outlines our eligibility requirements in detail. We are interested in supporting events that directly impact our residents’ health, do not serve as a fundraiser, and take place in our service area. Please submit the Event Sponsorship Request Form to marketing@verdanthealth.org to have your event considered.
