Verdant awards $3,406,863 in new funding
At the Wednesday, August 23rd Board Meeting, the Verdant Health Commissioners voted to invest $3,406,863 in 19 nonprofit organizations that are dedicated to improving community health. These funds were awarded through a competitive application process, which ensures that the funds are being allocated to organizations that have the capacity to serve the community with innovative approaches to addressing community health needs.
By providing financial support to these 19 nonprofit organizations, the Verdant Health Board of Commissioners is demonstrating its commitment to improving the overall well-being of our community. Each of these funded projects addresses one or more of Verdant’s Strategic Priorities: Healthcare Access, Mental Health Services and Food Security. “We are pleased to invest in organizations that provide needed health services for the residents of South Snohomish County,” said Commissioner Karianna Wilson. On November 1st, Verdant will accept applications for the Spring 2024 funding cycle.
