Evergreen Recovery Centers opens a new South County Detox Center in Lynnwood in 2016 that will help manage withdrawl for low-income adults detoxing from alcohol and opiates, with the goal of connecting patients with longer-term treatment. Currently, these adults are typically seen in the hospital emergency rooms when they are seeking help, because the one existing Snohomish County detox center in Everett is always at capacity. This program will increase the number of beds available to treat patients and make it easier for adults to get these services closer to home in South Snohomish County.
