Are you an adult trying to eat healthier?

Join us for this Wednesday afternoon virtual class that focuses on a produce pick of the month.

Class description:

Have you been looking for a tasty and healthy vegetable to add to your summer meals? Look no further than summer squash! Squashes are filled with essential nutrients like vitamin C, potassium, and fiber. This nutrient-rich vegetable is not only affordable but also easy to grow in our beautiful Pacific Northwest! With a bounty of squash, it’s important to have a myriad of tasty ways to eat it. We will review recipes to inspire endless summer creations. From grilling to salads to soups you’ll never get bored of this tasty garden fruit. Join us Wednesday for a fun and informative session to discover the benefits of summer squash.

This cooking demo class will be led by Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Taelin Flores. Recipes will be shared with participants after taking this virtual class.

* If this class is oversubscribed, priority will be given to residents living in Public Hospital District #2 (Verdant Health Commission serving South Snohomish County) and Public Hospital District #3 (Stilly Valley Health Connections serving North Snohomish County) due to funding restrictions.
