Community Update | November 2024
Can you believe it’s November? For most of us, this is the time of year we start thinking about gathering with friends and family, and consuming far too much food before slipping into a blissful coma. However, for our partners working in food security, this is the busiest time of year.
Food drives in the community are at their absolute peak. It’s busy all year round, but it goes into hyperdrive this month. There’s even more food to pick up, drop off, organize, pass out, potentially cook and drop off. We acknowledge and appreciate all of the organizations working in food security to make sure no one goes hungry this holiday season. Don’t forget that after the holidays, hunger doesn’t magically disappear. Consider volunteering or doing a food drive in partnership with one of these amazing organizations.
