Palliative Care Initiative

Program funded: March 2015 – March 2017

This community-based program supports patients and their family members by ensuring their end-of-life wishes are met and that palliative care is available for those who need it. Palliative care refers to this special approach to treatment, and unlike hospice care, it is intended to treat patients in all stages of their illness, not just end-of-life. The aim of this program is to provide educational support to patients, their family members and medical professionals who treat these patients.
