Rx Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday, April 30

Several law enforcement agencies, including the Edmonds Police Department, Lynnwood Police Department and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, will take back prescription and over-the-counter drugs on Saturday, April 30.

The goal of Drug Take-Back Day is to provide a safe, convenient way to dispose of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

In 2015, more than four tons of unwanted medications were collected as part of the drug take-back program in Snohomish County alone.

The drug take-back program is an important tool in the fight against drug abuse in Snohomish County, including the growing heroin epidemic.
