Elder Abuse Training

Program funded: 2012

The Snohomish County Vulnerable Adult Task Force hosted a one-day conference in June 2012 to increase awareness of elder and vulnerable adult abuse and promote prevention and detection of abuse by health care providers, law enforcement members and social services providers. Each of these three sectors works with at-risk populations and has sought tools to better identify and respond to the exploitation and abuse of vulnerable adults. The conference served approximately 200 individuals who work with patients and residents in the South Snohomish County area.
