Verdant Whooping Cough Campaign Launched Winter 2012

Verdant whooping cough campaign launched Winter 2012

The Verdant Health Commission has joined forces with the Snohomish Health District and other community partners to launch an education and outreach campaign regarding the whooping cough epidemic that we are facing in South Snohomish County and across the state.

Public health message: Whooping cough phone calls took place Winter 2012

From mid-November to mid-December 2012, residents may have received a phone call survey from the Verdant Health Commission, sharing news about the high rates of whooping cough in our community and, based on your responses to the survey questions, providing you with the best information on how you can get vaccinated. This was an educational campaign, and we were reaching out to all residents in South Snohomish County.

The aggregate data collected will only be used to help us learn how many of our community members are already vaccinated and how many plan to get the booster shot. Please know that none of your personal information will be shared, and your participation in this survey is optional. If you have additional questions, please contact us at 425-582-8600.

For businesses, churches and other community groups interested in partnering with Verdant to spread the word on this important health issue, please let us know if you’re interested in viewing the contents of our toolkit.
