South Snohomish County Commission for Health Takes Former Chamber of Commerce Office Space
The South Snohomish County Commission for Health has moved into the office space formerly occupied by the South Snohomish County Chamber of Commerce. This office, located at 3815 196th St. SW, Suite 136 in Lynnwood, is adjacent to the Lynnwood Convention Center in the Lynnwood Convention Plaza, and has three meeting rooms, 600 parking spaces and convenient access to I-5.
The Commission for Health is a new program of Snohomish County Public Hospital District No. 2. The office will house commission staff and be the new location for Public Hospital District commission meetings as well as trainings and community forums. The Commission is finalizing procedures and plans to financially support and develop health care programs in South County.
The Hospital District also announced the appointment of Bob Knowles as commissioner, replacing Kimberly Cole who resigned in January. Mr. Knowles, a resident of Brier, worked for 20 years at Stevens Hospital and then Swedish/Edmonds, and is currently the manager of disease management for Premera Blue Cross in Mountlake Terrace.
