Yoga 101: An 8-week Class for Beginners

Join registered nurse and yoga instructor Connie Lee-Nelson for this introductory class*, suitable for adults of all ages, beliefs, and abilities. Classes will meet for 1 hour per week for eight weeks and will help participants learn beginning yoga skills through demonstration and practice. Skills will include breathing to relax and relieve stress, effective stretches to progressively build strength and flexibility, and meditation to develop an improved mind-body connection.

Yoga mats, blocks and tune-up balls will be provided. Class size will be limited to 15 participants to allow for individualized instruction.

* To provide this learning opportunity to as many people as possible, individuals may only take Yoga 101 for one 8-week session. Past registrants will not be eligible to participate.

This class series takes place on Tuesdays, February 27 – April 17, 2018 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Verdant Community Wellness Center, 4710 196th St SW Lynnwood, WA 98036.

The fee for this class $25.00 per person (Scholarships available to residents of Public Hospital District No. 2, Snohomish County based on income – please download the form for more information. Qualified applicants will be required to pay $12.50 instead of the full $25.00 fee.) For refund information, please review our Terms of Use and Class Attendance Policy.

Space is limited, pre-registration is required. Registration must meet a minimum of 8 participants or class will be cancelled and monies refunded.
