Teens, age 11 – 17 years, can bake along with Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Amy Reuter as she combines fresh berries, oats, maple syrup and more in a delicious & nutritious recipe you will want to make again. Amy will showcase several baking and measuring techniques as she prepares this fresh, seasonal, sweet berry snack and will also discuss how this crumble bar can work to fuel mornings too.
This class is designed as a cook-along with the instructor preparing this recipe in Verdant’s teaching kitchen while teens log into Zoom and cook along in their kitchen at home.
Teens who register before Sunday (8/8) at noon have the choice to:
- pick up free recipe ingredients the day before class (3-7pm) OR
- purchase their own supplies to use during the class
This free class takes place Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 1-2 p.m. PDT in a virtual meeting setting – join us from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. A Zoom link will be emailed 24-48 hours before the session to individuals who register. Our emails can get caught in spam filters or blocked entirely, please contact us if you don’t receive the class information.
Pre-registration is required, space is limited.*
* If this class is oversubscribed, priority will be given to teens living in South Snohomish County due to funding restrictions.
