The pandemic, job loss, and ongoing political and cultural divisions have all contributed to a significant increase in anxiety and depression. Whether symptoms of anxiety or depression are a new or familiar experience for you, this course will provide a comprehensive understanding into the causes of both and a survey of tools and techniques to manage and reduce symptoms including: self-soothing, exercise, nutrition, nature, art, and meditative practices. The group format of this course will include presentations, interactive activities, and small-group work in breakout rooms.
