Understanding Anxiety & Depression: An 8-week Virtual Therapeutic Group

The pandemic, job loss, and ongoing political and cultural divisions have all contributed to a significant increase in anxiety and depression. Whether symptoms of anxiety or depression are a new or familiar experience for you, this course will provide a comprehensive understanding into the causes of both and a survey of tools and techniques to manage and reduce symptoms including: self-soothing, exercise, nutrition, nature, art, and meditative practices. The group format of this course will include presentations, interactive activities, and small-group work in breakout rooms.

This 8-week free virtual program for adults will take place on Thursdays, April 15 – June 3, 2021 from 5:30-7 p.m. PDT in Zoom, a virtual meeting setting. Pre-registration is required. For inquiries and pre-registration, please call (206) 290-0867. This is a free group, and we ask that you plan on attending all 8 sessions. Syllabus is available upon request.
