Please join us for community walks this summer!
The City of Edmonds, City of Lynnwood, City of Mountlake Terrace, Edmonds Senior Center, and the Verdant Health Commission are joining together in the summer of 2019 to coordinate community walks, led by volunteers, for individuals and families. There will be 4 walks each week for 14 weeks (55 total chances to get outdoors and walk this summer!), and we hope you will join us. If you participate in 8 or more walks, you will be eligible to win great prizes! Prizes have been donated by local businesses Brooks Sports Outlet, Althea’s Footwear Solutions, Community Transit, IRG Physical Therapy, and The Everett Clinic.
On Tuesdays from June 18 through September 24, 2019, Step Out Edmonds will take place at 9:30 a.m., meeting at the Olympic Beach Visitor Station (by the fishing pier), 200 Admiral Way in Edmonds. Other walks take place: Mondays at 6 p.m. in Lynnwood, Thursdays at 6 p.m. in Lynnwood, and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. in Mountlake Terrace.
Walks will typically be 2-3 miles and will take about an hour to complete. South County Walks is a family-friendly program and open to anyone interested, of all abilities. This is a drop-in program, with no RSVP or advance registration required, and you can join in at any time.
Take a look at the South County Walks page for more info on the program and prizes available, and join our Facebook group South County Walks to stay up-to-date! If you have any questions, please email email@example.com or call (425) 582-8600.
