Event Details

Description:
“Navigating Diabetes Today” is a new Verdant program to support individuals living with diabetes. Join us the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. for a session in the teaching kitchen or presentation by a health professional to learn up-to-date information about diabetes and strategies for better blood sugar control.

This month’s presentation will focus on behavioral approaches to diabetes with an emphasis on managing stress. The session will be led by an MD who specializes in mindfulness and mental health coaching. Come learn how people can make changes to their lifestyle to better manage their diabetes and develop an action plan to address stress and other areas beneficial to your health and well-being.

Please note: Navigating Diabetes Today sessions are designed for individuals with a Type 2 diabetes diagnosis. A support person is welcome to attend along with the person with diabetes. Those with Type 1 are also welcome to attend but presentations may not address all the specifics of managing Type 1 diabetes.

This free session takes place on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Verdant Community Wellness Center, 4710 196th St. SW, Lynnwood, WA 98036.
