“Navigating Diabetes Today” is a new Verdant program to support individuals living with diabetes. Join us the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. for a session in the teaching kitchen or presentation by a health professional to learn up-to-date information about diabetes and strategies for better blood sugar control.

UPDATED DATE DUE TO WEATHER/ROAD CONDITIONS: This free session takes place on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Verdant Community Wellness Center, 4710 196th St. SW, Lynnwood, WA 98036.

Start the New Year off right with some specific goal setting around diabetes self-management. We will cover the seven (7) self-care behaviors, the latest recommendations and strategies for blood sugar control, and take time to brainstorm your individual steps toward better health. Class will be led by a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Educator.

Please note: Navigating Diabetes Today sessions are designed for individuals with a Type 2 diabetes diagnosis. A support person is welcome to attend along with the person with diabetes. Those with Type 1 are also welcome to attend but presentations may not address all the specifics of managing Type 1 diabetes.

Pre-registration Required?
