NEW online format during COVID-19

Navigating Diabetes Today is a Verdant program to support individuals living with diabetes or pre-diabetes. To continue supporting you, we are moving our monthly support group to a virtual online format. Join us the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. virtually on your computer or smartphone for a presentation by a health professional to learn up-to-date information about diabetes and strategies for better blood sugar control. See details about this month’s group below.

Navigating Diabetes Today – April 2021

Carbohydrate Comparisons

Join us for an informative and elevated discussion about carbohydrates. This session will focus on comparing different types of carbs, portions of different foods that contain carbs, and the changes that occur in carbohydrates with cooking.

Class will be led by Megan Ellison, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, who has supported patients with diabetes and prediabetes for over 11 years in clinical practice.

Handouts and recipes will be sent to participants following the class.

This free class takes place on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 6-7:30 p.m. PDT in a virtual meeting setting – join us from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. A Zoom link will be emailed 24-48 hours before the session to individuals who register. Our emails can get caught in spam filters or blocked entirely, please contact us if you don’t receive the class information. Pre-registration is required, space is limited.*

* If this class is oversubscribed, priority will be given to residents living in South Snohomish County due to funding restrictions.
