If you are wondering how to maximize your brain’s fitness through nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle factors, join this 3-part class with Christy Goff, a PacMed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. In this series, we will review popular myths around brain health and leave you with the science around what we currently know about keeping an active, fit brain and a healthy mind. Leave each class with an individual “prescription” of tips for improving your brain health as well as a healthy recipe that will also be demonstrated.
- Week 1 will focus on nutrition research and brain health/function.
- Week 2 will focus on exercise (both physical and mental exercises) that improves brain function
- Week 3 will dive into several other important lifestyle factors for brain health including stress management, mindfulness, and sleep.
This program costs $15 total (scholarships available) and meets 3 Thursdays: May 9, 16, and 23, 2019 (participants should attend all 3 sessions) from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Verdant Community Wellness Center, 4710 196th Street SW, Lynnwood, WA 98036.
Space is limited, pre-registration is required. Adults only please. Registration must meet a minimum of 8 participants or class will be cancelled and monies refunded.
