Come and join a PacMed Physical Therapist and a Registered Dietitian for a well-rounded program on joint health, arthritis, and nutrition. This class will include information to help attendees understand what arthritis is and how exercise can help with arthritis. It will also feature a demonstration of a few basic exercises for commonly affected joints.
Next, move into the teaching kitchen to apply what you learned to everyday foods and a healthy pattern of eating. Through a cooking demo and tasty samples, you will learn about anti-inflammatory foods & nutrients, as well as recipes you can easily replicate at home.
What To Expect: In this class, participants learn from a physical therapist and registered dietitian nutritionist about arthritis & joint health including delicious foods that reduce inflammation.
- Class is 2 hours long
- You will be seated for the majority of the time, but you will move rooms for the cooking demo to learn strategies to promote joint health & reduce inflammation
- You will enjoy a tasty sample of recipes prepared during the cooking demo
