It is the goal of this clinic to help each of its clients reach a level of comfort and safety through regular, ongoing foot care and education so they may maximize their mobility, improve health, and achieve peace of mind regarding the status of their feet. Routine nail and foot care is provided at this clinic, which includes reduction of nail, corn, and calluses and concludes with a gentle moisturizing massage of the lower extremities. Physical assessment, client-education, and assistance with referrals are provided when indicated.
The clinic is open the 1st and 2nd Tuesdays of every month from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. (by appointment only) at the Edmonds Senior Center Ceramics Room (1st floor), 220 Railroad Ave. in Edmonds. If it is your first visit or if you need extra time please make an 8 a.m. appointment.
Who are the providers? All foot care services are provided by experienced Registered Nurses (volunteers) who are trained foot care nurse specialists and members of the American Foot Care Nurses Association.
Who should attend this clinic? Those with all levels of health issues and foot care are welcome and encouraged to attend this clinic. This includes all stages of basic or high-risk foot care, diabetic, circulatory impairment, neropathy, anticoagulant medications, arthritis, gout, bunions, calluses, ingrown toenails, fungal conditions, misshapen, discolored, or overgrown nails. First-time clients will receive a brief initial health interview, an inspection of feet, lower extremities, and footwear in addition to routine nail and foot care. New clients should allow up to 60 minutes for the full session. Established clients should allow 30-45 minutes per session.
Edmonds Senior Center
$20 per visit. Established clients will have up to 45 minutes for the appointment and first-time clients will get up to 60 minutes for their first appointment.
(A sliding scale is available for those seniors not able to meet the above fee schedule. Please consult with the Foot Care Nurse in the clinic for details.)
