Cinnamon, cumin, chromium, and bittermelon are just a few of the supplements advertised to persons with diabetes. The bottles claim to reverse your diabetes, lower your A1C, and guarantee weight loss, but are these claims true? Supplements are an unregulated market leaving room for a lot of scams. Review some of the recent literature regarding diabetes supplements with a certified diabetes educator. Explore resources that help you, the consumer, have confidence in the products you’re buying and walk away with a list of supplements you can review with your doctor that may actually support your nutrition.
