VIRTUAL: Budget Friendly Foods – Root Vegetables

Are you an adult trying to eat healthier? Are you on a tight budget?

Join us the 2nd Thursday of each month for a virtual class that focuses on recipes with budget-friendly foods that maximize your food dollars. A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist will focus on using economical foods to make healthy and delicious meals. This class is a “virtual cooking demo” highlighting three more unique root vegetables such as parsnip, rutabaga, and turnips. Our instructor, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Taelin Flores, will leave you ideas on how to grow, store, and eat root vegetables to give you year-long dollar savings.

Recipes will be shared with those who participate.
