Join registered nurse and yoga instructor Connie Lee-Nelson for this introductory class*, suitable for adults of all ages, beliefs, and abilities. Classes will meet for 1 hour per week for eight weeks and will help participants learn beginning yoga skills through demonstration and practice. Skills will include breathing to relax and relieve stress, effective stretches to progressively build strength and flexibility, and meditation to develop an improved mind-body connection.
Yoga mats and blocks will be provided. Class size will be limited to 15 participants to allow for individualized instruction.
This class series takes place on Mondays, September 11 – October 30, 2017 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Verdant Community Wellness Center, 4710 196th St SW Lynnwood, WA 98036.
Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. Registration must meet a minimum of 8 participants or class will be cancelled and monies refunded.
* To provide this learning opportunity to as many people as possible, individuals may only take Yoga 101 for one 8-week session. Past attendees will not be eligible to participate.
