Many people experience mild back pain that can be improved by learning new patterns for movement and posture.
Join Connie Nelson, registered nurse, yoga and movement instructor, to learn how body mechanics can affect how you feel. Everyday movements like sitting at your desk, in your car, and even sleeping can influence your posture and contribute to mild back and muscle pain. Learn how to align yourself to improve posture, promote muscle relaxation, and reduce stress. During the class, there will be time to apply what you learn by doing the exercises recommended.
This 4-class series is intended for people with mild back pain, and not for individuals with chronic back pain or under medical supervison. The information taught builds over the course of the series, so it is highly recommended that participants be available to attend all 4 sessions.
Connie Nelson, RN, has a background and interest in physiology, biomechanics, strength, and conditioning, and she integrates functional and corrective movements in her classes for injury prevention and wellness in mind.
